Our students are taught by a faculty consisting of about 100 professors, 110 assistant professors and senior lecturers as well as more than 550 part-time lecturers. More than 50% come from abroad.
High teacher-student ratio
To cope with higher student numbers, the University of St.Gallen has continually extended its faculty in the last few years and achieved one of the best teacher-student ratios in economic sciences in Swiss universities. This guarantees a high quality of education regardless of the increasing numbers of students.
Basic subjects taught by full professors
In contrast to many other universities, at the University of St.Gallen, you will be taught by Chair-holding professors from the very start of your undergraduate education.
Rooted in practice
We place a premium on education that is rooted both in science as well as in practical experience. Our professors are closely associated with our research institutes, with some professors serving as institute directors. The institutes work to ensure practical relevance while maintaining close relationships with industry, the legal profession, politics, and society in general.
Worldwide network
Our faculty are part of a worldwide network and take part in a thorough exchange of ideas with our students. Faculty members pass on their expertise not only in lectures or study groups; they also make themselves available to students for questions in their free time.
